More than 200 swimmers will set off on May 13 for a crossing between the mainland and the Ile de Ré organized by the Subaqua 17 diving club.
It is one of the few whitewater finswimming events on the Atlantic coast. The 53rd edition of the continent – Ile de Ré crossing, organized by the Subaqua 17 diving club in La Rochelle, will start on Saturday 13 May. At 11:45 a.m., participants will leave from La Repentie beach, at the foot of Le Belvédère restaurant, towards Sablanceaux beach, in Rivedoux-Plage. That is 3 km in a direct line, without ever going under the bridge.
