Esteban Velásquez and Wilson David are two passionate music enthusiasts who they started their career by sheer chance and are now among the best duos in popular music.

A coincidence made Esteban Velásquez and Wilson David meet and start with a musical production which already has more than 100 songs, which has made them among the best duos in popular music and has given them the recognition of their followers.

How did your musical career start?

Esteban Velásquez is a native of the municipality of Ituango, 21 years ago he arrived in Medellín and then Envigado to settle permanently. In turn, Wilson David is originally from the municipality of Peque and 15 years ago he settled in the ‘Ciudad Señorial’, where he would meet Esteban to start his musical career.

By chance, the lives of these Envigadeños came together four years ago, due to Esteban’s interest in learning to play bass, as he tells it: “I had nothing to do with the musical world and I didn’t see myself in a musical project either. because I worked in something independent while Wilson was a musician, he was the bassist of a group that I met in another place and I hired them for my establishment. I did like music, but not singing, what I wanted was to play the bass and I turned to Wilson to be my teacher”.

From that moment they began to be together in different musical spheres and in this way, and as a chat, they began to record songs together: “one day I accompanied Wilson to a recording studio to make some bass musical arrangements to some songs by others. artists and in a moment of recollection we began to sing songs by other singers, which motivated the producer to record a song for us out of pure curiosity, to see how it would sound and we liked what we did together”.

Although they thought that they were only going to do it to pass the time and to listen to themselves, After recording six songs, they began their walk in the world of popular music.

Precisely, the one in charge of giving this initial kick was the sixth song they recorded: I enjoy the time, which is about to reach 30 million views on YouTube and it has meant that “every song we make receives the love of the public and that is why we are focused on continuing to work hard and express ourselves through music,” says Esteban Velásquez.
