Maluku Governor Murad Ismail Removed as Chairperson of Maluku PDI Perjuangan DPD

Governor of the Moluccas Murad Ismail removed from position as Chairperson of the Maluku PDI Perjuangan DPD. The party will fire him as a cadre if he is found to have changed parties.

“Mr. Murad was dismissed from his position as chairman of the DPD. And the letter has already been issued. However, if Mr. Murad joins another party, the party will take firm action by dismissing him as a party cadre,” said Deputy Secretary General (Wasekjen) PDIP, Sadarestuwati , when contacted, Tuesday (9/5/2023).

According to Restu, Murad was considered to have violated the party’s internal rules. In PDIP husband and wife are not allowed to have different parties.

“The PDI Perjuangan has party regulations which state that husband and wife cannot come from different parties. And here it is clear that Mr. Murad has violated party rules by allowing his wife to join another party, so the party must take firm action as a consequence of the decision already taken,” he said.

Murad was also considered not to have good ethics when he was summoned for clarification by the PDIP DPP. Murad’s actions were considered to have hurt the party that had appointed him as governor and chairman of the DPD.

“He actually showed arrogance, was emotional, and didn’t explain well. In fact, he felt he was not a member of the party. This was very injurious to the PDI Perjuangan, which had clearly carried him as a candidate for governor at that time and made him chairman of the DPD PDI Perjuangan,” he said.

Previously, the PDI Perjuangan (PDIP) removed Maluku Governor Murad Ismail from the position of Chairman of the Maluku PDIP DPD. Restu emphasized that the release of Murad Ismail as Chairman of the Maluku PDIP DPD had gone through an organizational mechanism.

“Mr. Murad Ismail showed an attitude that was not commendable. Because when Mr. Djarot Syaiful Hidayat and Mr. Komarudin Watubun clarified, suddenly Mr. Murad showed an emotional attitude. This attitude is far from the character of a wise leader in solving problems,” Sadarestuwati said in a statement. he wrote, Tuesday (9/5).
