Belarus intends to produce 4.7% more pork in 2023 | Society

Belarus plans to produce 4.7% more pork in 2023 than in 2022. About it stated Head of the Main Department for the Intensification of Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Activities of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Natalia SONICH.

According to her, almost 400 thousand tons of pork were produced in Belarus in 2022, and they plan to produce 418.6 thousand tons in 2023, which is 104.7% of last year’s figure.

“These figures will be achieved due to the commissioning of new pig farms. In particular, two pig complexes were put into operation in the Vitebsk region (Goryany and Pushki) and one in the Pinsk region. In addition, recruitment begins in the pig-breeding complex in the Klimovichi district. Due to this, additional volumes of products will be produced,” said Natalya Sonich.
