Scenes of a woman screaming and begging for not being raped by a group of young men caused an uproar among Libyans on social media.
A clip documenting the rape of a Libyan woman was circulated inside the headquarters of an armed militia, while she was screaming, “God bless you, no,” which sparked widespread anger, amid calls for an investigation and prosecution of the criminals.
And the girl appeared in the video clip, after hiding her features, as she begged someone to flog her and curse her with the worst epithets, not to assault her and not to rape or photograph her, crying out for the words: “And the Prophet does not … by God, no … God will protect you, no,” but he continued to do so.
Activists said that the crime took place inside the headquarters of an armed militia in the city of Zawiya, western Libya, and that the girl was kidnapped, then raped and abused, after she posted a comment on Facebook, in which she criticized one of the armed elements.
During this period, the city of Zawiya is witnessing a state of boiling, denouncing the actions of some armed militias and their domination of public life, and the high crime rates.
No, and the Prophet does not…. For God’s sake, no…. May God protect you
