Husband Commits Domestic Violence Murder by Choking Wife with Meatball in Bekasi

The police revealed the case of a husband with the initials RD (25) committing domestic violence (KDRT) killing his wife, NAS (27), by mode as if the victim chokes on meatballs in Bekasi Regency. This is what the perpetrator looks like.

The perpetrators were presented at a press conference at the Bekasi Metro Police Headquarters. He appears to be wearing an orange prison suit.

During his presentation at the press conference, the perpetrator looked lethargic. His hands were bound by cable ties.

Victim Murder

Bekasi Metro Police Chief Kombes Twedi Aditya Bennyahdi explained, this case occurred at his second home in Pebayuran, Bekasi Regency, on Friday (5/5). This case began when the perpetrator was involved in an argument with the victim.

“The perpetrator strangled and covered the victim’s face with a pillow with the intention of the victim dying. As for the perpetrator knowing that the victim had died, the perpetrator was afraid that other people’s actions would be known so that the perpetrator engineered himself as if the victim had died from choking on a meatball,” said Kapolres Metro Bekasi Kombes. Twedi Aditya in a press conference at the Bekasi Metro District Police Headquarters, Tuesday (9/5/2023).

Twedi revealed that the RD action was carried out due to emotional provocation and repeated household disputes. He said the victim often cursed at him.

“Because the perpetrator often argued with the victim’s mouth, and the victim often cursed the perpetrator with harsh words so that the emotion for a moment the perpetrator choked and covered the victim’s face with a pillow with the intention of the victim dying,” he said.

During the press conference, the police showed a number of pieces of evidence in the form of clothing, cutlery and meatballs which were used as an alibi by the perpetrator. RD performers were also presented on the occasion.

As a result of his actions, RD is now a suspect. He was charged with Article 44 paragraph (3) of Law Number 23 of 2004 concerning the Elimination of Domestic Violence and the crime of murder as stipulated in Article 338 of the Criminal Code, which carries a penalty of 15 years in prison and a maximum fine of Rp. 45 million.
