“Wife’s Screams Interrupt Court as She Demands Divorce from Married Husband with Multiple Wives”

The wife’s screams prompted the judge to adjourn the session for a recess, and despite that, she did not stop until the court guards intervened and persuaded her to leave the hall.

A scene that took place inside the Family Court in Buhaira. The wife, who is over 35 years old, came to the court asking for a divorce because of her husband’s harm, whom she described as married and must be stopped, as he has a wife in every province.

The wife told the judge, “I have been married for 20 years and I have 3 children.. I am not old, I am 37 years old, and I married him at a young age.”

And she continued, “My husband and I had a love relationship before marriage, but I suddenly discovered, after 20 years of marriage, that he is married. Every little bit he gets married, but I did not know the number of his marriages.”

And she added, “I went to the civil registry.. I work as a family registry.. At that time, the surprise happened.. I discovered that my husband married two women, one from Alexandria and the other from Gharbia.”

The misfortune is that after I asked for a divorce, he admitted his marriage to other women, but it was a customary marriage, and he did it because of his job, which requires a lot of travel.”

And the wife added, “The important thing, Your Honor, is that I forgave him for the sake of my children… I made a rule for his men to talk to him, and I said let him write the apartment in my name, just write it down, and God knows that I did not leave the apartment or anything else. But the misfortune is that we were sitting in Cairo and we had an apartment in Alexandria, it was me He was sitting in Cairo, while he was on a job in Alexandria, so he sat there, but he returned to his old habit. I found out that he was married there. I said I would deal with the matter calmly. I took my children and moved to Alexandria. Maybe he will adjust, but there is no point.

And she continued, “The important thing is that he divorced his wives after a year and a half, but my psyche was tired, and it was very destructive now. I discovered that he recognized one of them and spoke to her on a ninth passport.”

And the wife went on, “I could not bear it, sir, I decided to divorce the married husband, and I am here asking for your mercy.”

The judge decided to adjourn the case to review the wife’s documents and the husband’s declaration to appear in court.
