Mustar himself has handled manual to automatic Panther conversions several times. The process of changing the manual transmission to automatic usually takes a month.

“All transmissions are replaced, the system is different. If there are all the spare parts, it actually doesn’t take long, it takes two weeks to complete. It’s just that sometimes you have to wait in line with the spare parts, which is a bit long,” Mustar explained.

Mustar said that the replacement of the manual to automatic transmission on the Isuzu Panther uses a dislodged component. Because, if you use a new automatic transmission component, the price can soar.

“The transmission will be exactly that, the Kijang 2,000 cc car, or the Kijang Diesel, the Kijang Capsule. Not an Innova, yes, the contents of the spare parts are the same as the Innova, only the outside is a bit different. It’s still easy to find,” he said.

So, how much does it cost to change the manual transmission to automatic on the Isuzu Panther? According to Mustar, this is in accordance with the type of automatic that consumers choose.

“So there are two kinds of automatic changes. Some are fully mechanical, some are mixed with computers, TCM (transmission control module). If it’s fully mechanical, it’s around Rp. 15-20 (million). Only if you use a computer, later it can be more Rp. 30 (million),” he explained.
