The Health Office of West Tulangbawang Regency (Dinkes Tubaba) held vaccination for prospective pilgrims (CJH).
Vaccinations carried out simultaneously took place in three places namely the Pure Power Health Center, Tumijajar District, Panaragan Jaya Health Center, Central Tulangbawang District and Kibang Budi Jaya Health Center, Lambu Kibang District, Monday (8/5/2023).
Head of the Disease Control and Eradication Division (P2P) of the Tubaba Health Office, Mega Fitria said, there were two types of vaccines given to CJH, namely meningitis and influenza.
“This is not a Covid-19 vaccination, but a vaccine that aims to prevent and maintain the formation of Meningitis and flu immunity in CJH. Remembering that the CJH will meet with all Muslims from all over the world,” he said when confirmed by journalists, Monday (8/5).
According to Mega, from the two types of vaccines. There is one vaccine that is not mandatory. Namely the influenza vaccine, because the disease is classified as a common disease and is not dangerous.
“If meningitis is mandatory. Because the consequences can be inflammation of the brain, a result of viral meningitis, “he said.
Mega explained, the Tubaba Health Office prepared 130 meningitis-type vaccines and 100 influenza vaccines which were distributed through three puskesmas. The two types of vaccines were sourced from the Lampung Provincial Health Office.
“Puskesmas Daya Murni has 22 meningitis vaccine stocks and 20 influenza vaccine stocks. The Panaragan Jaya Health Center has 65 meningitis and 50 influenza vaccine stocks. And the Kibang Budi Jaya Public Health Center has 43 meningitis vaccine stocks and 30 influenza vaccines,” he concluded.
