“Woman in China raises over 183,000 yuan for husband’s hospital expenses”

The story of a woman in China has touched many people. The woman named Ding struggled to care for her husband who had a big accident in 2020.

Quoted from South China Morning Post, Ding has been by her husband’s side every day since the accident. The incident left her husband in a coma for three years.

While looking after her husband, Ding carried out her role as a wife and also carried the burden of an unconscious husband.

As a result of that condition, her husband had to be hospitalized for years. This of course requires a very large cost.

Ding eventually opened a fundraising campaign to raise money to pay for needed hospital expenses. From the fundraising, Ding was able to collect 183,022 yuan or around Rp. 388.6 million from 4,055 donors.

After three years, Ding’s husband, Jiang Li, finally woke up from his coma and made Ding cry with joy. Ding said her husband was able to speak and brush his teeth.

As an expression of gratitude to those who have helped her, Ding decided to ‘return’ the donation after her husband woke up from his coma.

He returned the money to every donor who donated money to him. Not only that, separately, he also used his family’s money to donate stationery to a number of schools in remote areas.
