According to an announcement by Mark Zuckerberg, founder of Meta and responsible for the social network, published last Friday, the 28th, the new function is available only for a small list of countries, of which Brazil is part.
Nowadays, users all over the world have the chance to post a unique image linked to a song. Residents of some countries will now be able to add the banner to posts that contain a photo sequence. Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri explained on his Twitter profile that the mechanism is in the testing phase. It is even being applied in Brazil, Japan and Indonesia.
How does the new Instagram feature work?
According to the executive, up to 90 seconds of a song that is part of the music library of the application. He claims that the company is already working to release the function to all countries.
The same information was confirmed by Zuckerberg in a live on Instagram. The founder says that the company is looking into upgrading the “Notes” function on the platform. Today, she has posts in text format, in addition to her emojis. Everything is spread over 60 characters.
When using the new function, users will see the name of the song, as well as the artist who produced it, just below the profile name in the post. Earlier this year, other updates arrived at the application, as in the previously mentioned “notes”, with short sentences that can be viewed in the application’s message section (the famous direct). The text is visible for up to 24 hours and is designed to encourage interaction between users.
