On Saturday evening, May 6, the Surinamese police arrested the suspect AG (44) in the case in which the 17-year-old girl NG was killed in the house fire at Leiding 9A on Wednesday, May 3.
The suspect AG, who is the father of the victim, is suspected of setting fire to the house in which his 17-year-old daughter NG was located, with fatal consequences for the girl. reports the Suriname Police Force today.
AG was subsequently transferred to the police station for arraignment and denies having committed the offence.
After consultation with the Surinamese Public Prosecution Service, he has been taken into custody by the police of the Capital Offenses Department pending the investigation.
