The men’s handball team of Al-Ahly club defeated Zamalek, 24/27, and won the African Super Cup championship organized by Al-Ahly club at King Abdullah Al-Faisal Hall in Al-Jazira branch, to qualify Al-Ahly to participate in the Club World Cup, which will be held next October in Saudi Arabia.
The first half of the African Super match ended with Al-Ahly leading 9/14, before the match ended with Al-Ahly winning 24/27.
Zamalek qualified for the final after defeating its Congolese counterpart, JS Kinshasa, 45/25, in the semi-finals of the African Super Cup yesterday.
While Al-Ahly qualified for the final match of the African Super Cup directly, in light of the Tunisian Esperance’s apology for not participating.
