Passenger Caught Hitting Flight Attendant and Attempting to Jump From Plane in San Francisco

A passenger was boycotted after he was caught hitting a flight attendant and nearly jumping from a plane that was flying.

Reported from InsiderSunday (7/5/2023), the incident occurred in the middle of the night on May 1, 2023. At that time, the United Flight plane was preparing to take off from San Francisco International Airport on its way to Houston.

One passenger, Naya Jimenez, asked the husband and wife to move to their designated seats. However, the instructions were not heeded, so the flight attendant intervened to handle it. Instead of ending, the tension actually increased.

“They tried to bring in the gatekeeper to try to talk to both of them. Then, he started grumbling,” he said.

In addition, there is a video showing the male passenger repeatedly swinging a stick at the crew and other passengers when people try to hold him back. Until finally, according to Jimenez, he tried to run towards the emergency exit.

“After he stopped for a moment, he ran towards where the pilot was, where the emergency exit was, and tried to open it,” Jimenez said.

Even the passenger managed to open the emergency door and wanted to jump down. However, the passenger was immediately rescued by officers.

“The flight attendants immediately removed him and everyone hauled him back to safety,” he continued.

Arriving at San Francisco International Airport, the airline team immediately contacted law enforcement officials regarding the disturbing passengers on the flight. The airline team also gave appreciation to the flight crew who were able to overcome the incident.

“We thank our team in San Francisco for their professionalism in this situation and for ensuring the safety of our customers and fellow United (Airlines) employees,” said a United Airlines representative. ABC 7 in quotations Insider.

Due to this incident, the passenger was immediately boycotted on future United Airlines flights.

“This customer’s behavior is unacceptable, he has been banned from future United flights and we are working with local law enforcement on their investigation.” said a United Airlines representative.

This is the latest case of a passenger being boycotted for unmanageable behavior. Last April, a TV star, Savannah Chrisley, was refused a flight because she refused to check her bag. In the same week, there was also an incident where a United plane had to turn around three hours after takeoff because a man was reportedly sitting in the crew’s seat.
