Helena Postránecky and Václav Postránecky
Helena Postránecká lived by her husband’s side for an incredible fifty-four years. Postránecký left for good in 2019. The widow is still recovering from the death of her beloved partner.
After the death of the comedy star of the century, several new facts surfaced. For example, Helena confided in the fact that Václav loved the comedy S tebo me me fun svet so much that he wrote its sequel. She stated that the script should even be in their house somewhere.
A sad end to the collection
Postránecký’s things are still in their place after his death. Except for one little thing. The legendary actor starred in the popular movie Berries, which revolved entirely around wine. Postránecký was very close to this role, mainly because he loved wine. He became so interested in winemaking that he rented a wine box with archive wines in Mikulov. He relied on his huge collection. “Everything is in place, we just poured him the wine,” she shocked with her statement for Aha! Postránecky’s widow. “We didn’t go there much, so it wasn’t worth keeping. We canceled it. Some of the wines my family and I drank and some we poured out because they were already spoiled. Václav would probably kill us,” she added with a sense of humor.
Home in Říčany
The former successful dancer takes enough time to take care of the house in Říčany. “But I’m happy here and I still have Václav here. No one is allowed to touch his study. And I also have his favorite mug, from which he liked to drink so much, his Buddhas and many other things, thanks to which I can always see him.” In the last days of his life, he left the hospital and spent time surrounded by his family in Říčany.
