Caitriona Perry, a long-standing journalist for RTÉ, has announced her departure from the national broadcaster after nearly 16 years of service. According to RSVP Live, Perry and her family are moving to the United States where she will take on a new role with the BBC in their Washington office as News Chief Presenter. Although Perry keeps her personal life private, she has shared that she is married with two children, and her husband prefers to remain anonymous due to his non-media background. Perry previously worked as RTE’s Washington Correspondent from 2013 to 2017 and is excited to begin her new role at the BBC, stating that she looks forward to bringing news to a global audience of nearly 500 million people.
