Economy and Marketing Soest (WMS) announces that the settlement is “not quite everyday”. A buyer has also been found in “Recon Germany GmbH” for the largest vacant plot of land in the Wasserfuhr commercial area, measuring around 22,500 square meters – “and at the same time one who is an excellent fit for today’s times”, according to a statement by WMS.
Soest – The Recon group of companies, originally from Austria, has specialized in the development, production and construction of sustainable building complexes in modular construction.
“Modular building solutions make an important contribution to ecological and sustainable construction,” says WMS. The new company headquarters of Recon, which belongs to the owner-managed group of companies “Regroup” from Austria, is being built in Soest.
“With Recon, we were able to win a very future-oriented company for Soest, which makes an important contribution on the way to sustainable building with its products,” WMS Managing Director Carolin Brautlecht is quoted as saying in her company’s announcement.
In the future, companies, institutions and private individuals throughout Germany will be supplied with modular building solutions from Soest. From individually planned, modular building complexes to standardized, quickly available container modules to sustainable room solutions in timber modular construction, “very diverse and sustainable building products and services” will be created in Soest in the future.
Carolin Brautlecht: “Extremely constructive negotiations promise a purposeful development of the location.”
The first talks took place last year before the purchase agreement was signed at the turn of the year. Now the first excavators are already rolling on the area. In line with the company’s own orientation, an interim office building will first be erected in the southern part of the property – in a modular design.
“The background is that we want to be able to act as quickly as possible at the Soest location,” founder and managing director René Wurzer is quoted in the same statement. “The interim building gives us the opportunity to fulfill customer orders from Soest in the second half of 2023, while the planning and approval phase for the actual company building can run in parallel. The first customer inquiries and initiation talks with potential employees confirmed us in this approach”.
The planning application for the actual company headquarters, consisting of a representative office building with adjoining production and assembly halls, is to be submitted this year. Construction should start in 2024. A total of around 50 jobs are to be created on the property in the coming years.
