“Occupation Authorities of Crimea Claim Two Missiles from Ukrainian Grom-2 Missile System Shot Down, Causing Panic Among the Population”

The occupation authorities of Crimea claim that they were shot down over the peninsula on Saturday two missiles from the Ukrainian Grom-2 missile system. First, the head of the annexed Crimea Sergei Aksionov reported one downed missile and assured that there was no damage or casualties. A little later, Aksenov’s adviser Oleg Kryuchkov wrote that according to current data, two missiles were shot down. Both pieces of information were published by TASS.

Local publications and Telegram channels publish photos of a large crater in a fieldallegedly left by a fallen rocket.

However, Kryuchkov joined in with one more piece of information – a warning that the owners of Telegram channels, who continue to publish footage showing the morning incident of the air defense system, inciting panic among the population, will be handed over to the law enforcement authorities. A list of their names will also be published.

Ukrainian authorities and the military have not yet commented on these statements.

According to the declared characteristics, the missiles of the Ukrainian operational-tactical missile complex “Grom-2” can hit targets at a distance of up to 500 kilometers.
