For almost ten years, Russian TV star and actor Dmitry Nagiyev hosted the Voice show, but last March he announced a creative break in his career. He hasn’t been back on TV since.
Dmitry has not been seen on the air for more than a year: in February 2022, he left Russia’s First Channel, announcing that he was taking a break. This information was confirmed by producer Yuriy Aksyuta. He noted that the TV presenter was given the opportunity to rest and recover.
Why did Nagiyev do it? The answer is obvious. The TV star did not directly condemn Russia’s war in Ukraine, but did it with various phrases “through flowers”.
Nagiyev is worried about what is happening in Ukraine, but he tries to take this time philosophically. The TV presenter notes that in the past he often had to sit without work, and this taught him humility. The actor talks about it in a new interview with Men Today.
“Learn to wait, but with a very clear goal and faith that it will work out. And also to work. Even when I had no offers, I continued to believe, quietly climb up from the hope that someday it will come in handy,” Dmitry admitted.
He pointed out that at such a moment the main thing is not to envy more successful colleagues and to understand one simple truth: “If someone has a better job than yours, they are simply better than you today.”
Nagiyev did not comment on leaving the show Voice. But at the same time, he published black-and-white photos and videos on social networks several times, due to which fans concluded that Nagiyev had problems of an emotional nature.
In the new interview, the actor also talked about depression. He did not reveal when he encountered the condition, but hinted that he was aware of it. “Any depressive state is ugly. I know it, and if I’m warned, then I’m armed. And I also know that there is probably nothing better than this second in your life. So enjoy it especially,” Nagiyev added.
A showman likes to deal with difficulties best by devoting himself to work. So Nagiyev has already started filming in several projects.
