UTICA – The American club Utica Comets in the lineup with Slovak hockey player Šimon Nemec dropped out of the AHL playoffs.

Utica fell to the Toronto Marlies 1-4 in Game 4 on Saturday night and lost the series 1-3 in games. The nineteen-year-old defender can thus become a reinforcement of the national team at the upcoming WC in Riga.

The German did not score in the meeting, and his eventual participation in the world championship must be confirmed by his NHL club New Jersey Devils.

Advancement to the next round was won by the Hartford Wolf Pack, who without Slovakian forward Adam Sýkora beat the Providence Bruins 4:0 and won the series 3:1 in matches.
