The police have brought together tourists who feel they are victims of price shocks with a repair shop in the Sentul area, Bogor Regency, West Java (West Java). Both sides have agreed to make peace.
“They, the repair shop and the owner of the motorized vehicle, have held a meeting, and both parties declared peace and did not prolong the problem,” Bogor Police Chief AKBP Iman Imanuddin told reporters, Saturday (6/5/2023).
Iman emphasized that the police did not side with either party. He said the police were only facilitating the two parties to deliberate.
“I emphasize that the police are not on one side. We are still in accordance with the legal facts. If there is a legal action that occurs, the police do not have any tendencies,” he explained.
“But we facilitate them if they want or take the path of peace between them,” continued Iman.
Iman said both sides finally agreed to make peace. He said this incident was a lesson for society.
“Of course this is a lesson for repair shops everywhere, in terms of providing services to consumers, of course, it must be explained from the start, these are the possibilities, then how much is the estimated cost, so that the consumer does not feel cheated,” he said.
Previously, tourists who were victims of shoplifting prices in Sentul, Bogor, West Java (West Java) came to the Bogor Police. The tourist with the initials HA came to provide clarification and explain what he experienced at the workshop that ended up going viral on social media.
