Last night, Michel Bergeron ignited the web by saying that the Senators should hire Patrick Roy behind the team bench.
We know how much some fans would like to see the former glory of CH make a return to the NHL as a coach even if the main interested party mentioned that this could be his last season behind the bench of the Remparts de Quebec.
In my mind, it seemed unlikely for that particular reason… But on the other hand, he knows that the NHL is not accessible so he stops coaching in the juniors. It’s logic.
This morning, it was Yvon Pedneault’s turn to say out loud that he would like to see him land in Ontario to lead the Sens.
Yvon feels it would be perfect considering the Senators have a lot of very talented young players and considering Roy is good at working with young players because of his experience in the QMJHL.
I think that more and more, Patrick Roy knows very, very well the new generation of hockey players. – Yvon Pedneault
According to Yvon Pedneault, Patrick Roy would be a perfect candidate to lead the @Senators of Ottawa, and Bob Hartley, the @NYRangers.

By listening to the segment above, you will understand that it was not only about Patrick Roy during the passage of Yvon Pedneault. The latter was notably accompanied by Bob Hartley…
And, Yvon seems to have taken the opportunity to throw flowers at the former NHL coach. Like Patrick Roy in Ottawa, the TVA Sports analyst believes that Bob Hartley would be the perfect candidate in New York.
He maintains that the Rangers have several “capricious veterans” and that Bob is “able to put the cabin in order”… Which is not false for all that. Bob Hartley is a coach with character and has proven himself in the past by winning just about everywhere he’s been.
Both cases would be particularly interesting in the sense that Hartley and Roy haven’t coached in the NHL for quite a while. However, before seeing them make an official return…
The Rangers should start by firing Gerard Gallant. And, in Ottawa, DJ Smith would have to lose his job, which is not guaranteed either.
It’s likely… But it’s not done yet.
