The head of the coup in Egypt, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, sparked widespread controversy, after activists circulated a picture of the painting that was behind him in his periodic meeting with the Council of Ministers.
And he wrote on the plaque hanging at the headquarters of the Strategic Command in the New Administrative Capital, the Qur’anic verse from Surat Al-Baqara (He gives wisdom to whom He wills, and whoever is given wisdom has been given much good).
Al-Sisi met at the strategic command headquarters in the new administrative capital, with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, Minister of Defense Lieutenant General Mohamed Zaki, Minister of Planning Hala Saeed, Minister of Housing Assem El-Gazzar, Minister of Transport Kamel Al-Wazir, and others.
Activists said; The Qur’anic verse that presides over Al-Sisi’s session with his ministers raises questions about the significance of Al-Sisi’s situation, accusing him of trying to continuously exploit religion in his work.
Activists explained that Al-Sisi wants to convey a message that God has given him wisdom, the ability to manage matters and behave well with them, saying that he has reached an advanced stage of “arrogance”.
