Scotland Ocean Nation Series: A Journey Through Scotland’s Seas
Embark on an epic adventure across Scotland’s uninviting, peat-colored, windswept, and cold ocean. Join the journey of an individual who paddled 1200km across Scotland’s seas to showcase how full of life it is. This series aims to bring to life the places and things that are often out of sight and out of mind for people, all while highlighting the importance of our seas.
Through this journey, numerous individuals and communities were interviewed to understand how different people connected to the sea. The series also dives underwater to witness first-hand what is often out of sight and out of mind for many. Fishing, conservation, and playing in Scotland’s seas have also been addressed and discussed.
This epic adventure was captured in a film series, which was a challenging feat, especially in the face of dangerous waters or wildlife encounters. The footage captured brings to life the magnificence of Scotland underwater, such as the flourishing maerl, brittle stars, fish, algae, and anemones that make up its ecosystem.
Scotland Ocean Nation Series aims to showcase the majesty, plight, and wonder of Scotland’s seas, wildlife, and people.
