“US Stock Indexes Soar After April 2023 Occupancy Data Release: Apple and Financial Sectors Lead, Oil Stocks Recover”

The main US stock indexes ended the last session of the week with excellent performances, after the release of the data on theoccupancy as of April 2023.

The Dow Jones gained 1.65% to 33,674 points, while the S&P500 gained 1.85% to 4,136 points. The Nasdaq also rose (+2.25% to 12,235 points).

Good day for Apple (+4.69% to 173.57 dollars), after the diffusion of the financial data for Q2 2022/2023.

Focus again on stocks in the financial sector. Small regional banks are always the protagonists, with PacWest Bacorp up 81.7%, after the 50.6% plunge suffered in the previous session.

Stocks in the oil sector are recovering, after the price of crude oil in New York (contract expiring in June 2023) rebounded to $71.5 a barrel. Chevron and ExxonMobil rallied 2.55% and 2.49%, respectively.
