At the end of Charles III’s coronation, which will take place in a matter of days, the British royal family will traditionally gather on the balcony of Buckingham Palace to greet the audience.

However, it turns out that not all members of the noble family are awarded this honor. Among the big absentees will be the beloved granddaughter of the late Elizabeth II and niece of the new king, Lady Louise Windsor.

“Interestingly, the children of the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh will not be in the balcony. We know that the late Elizabeth II had a special relationship with Louise and James,” says royal editor Russell Myers on the Pod Save The King podcast.
