The Association of Higher Civil and Public Servants is calling for remote working to be integrated into the workforce planning of all departments. In addition, they are not ruling out adopting specific right to disconnect legislation. The union leader, Ciaran Rohan, highlighted the impact of inflation on the cost of living, citing his own experience of paying twice as much for a haircut due to the rise. According to Rohan, the adoption of remote working has become a way of life and should be embedded into workforce planning programs to promote a better work-life balance.
