Sander Schimmelpenninck becomes a father for the first time. The journalist and his girlfriend Lotta are expecting a girl.
“I have a highlight. I am becoming a father,” Schimmelpenninck tells Jaap Reesema in the Self podcast.
“We have been together for seven years and then it is really nice to take the next step. It is also nice for your personal development. I am just ready and looking forward to it.”
Reesema was already aware of Lotta’s pregnancy. “And I think it’s wonderful,” replies the singer.
Schimmelpenninck announced in 2021 that he had bought a house in Gothenburg, Sweden, where he was going to live with Lotta. He then made it clear that he would not leave the Netherlands for good and that he would continue to divide his time fifty-fifty between the countries.
