Two European tourists are expelled for taking nude photos in Machu Picchu

Two European tourists, one French and the other Swiss, were expelled this Thursday from the archaeological site of Machu Picchu, after one of them was posing naked and the other was photographing him, and they were both handed over to the police.

He explained that it was a 26-year-old Swiss citizen who “would be immersed in the alleged commission of a crime against freedom-offenses against public indecentness-obscene exhibitions and publications.”

Naked tourist in Machu Picchu

Later, the director of Culture of Cuzco, Maritza Rosa Candia, explained on the RPP radio station that, this morning, security guards at the most important tourist spot in the country realized that there was a naked tourist near what is known as the House of the Guardian. , in the upper part of the Inca citadel.

“Today two tourists of foreign nationality who were without clothes have been registered and that is not admitted in the Archaeological Park of Machu Picchu. The visitor regulations clearly prohibit this type of act. Our staff have immediately acted, they have notified the police that they have to get dressed and leave the sanctuary.”indicated Candia, who regretted the conduct of both.

He said that in the presence of the police officers, the photographs recorded by the visitors were eliminated, and then they were transferred to the police station to continue the proceedings, because they were denounced for acts against modesty and good customs.

Gilles Metroz, 26 years old and with a Swiss passport, was the one who posed without clothes, and the Frenchman Lucas Yves Marc Deveque, 23, who took the pictures.

Candia also called on visitors, so that they comply with the provisions of the visiting regulations and the recommendations provided by the surveillance personnel of Machu Picchu.
