He killed my grandson and granddaughter, the grandfather of the police officer Milan Panic and his sister, who were victims of the killer Uros B, told the Serbian publication Blitz. Besides them, he killed six more people, wounded 13 people and escaped. Shortly before midnight, the search for him began.
“They called us that they had been shot. When I got there, they were dead, covered. People had gathered, they started crying…what can I tell you,” said the distraught man.
He also said that his grandson was not friends with the killer because, in the words of the grandfather, he was a “failure”.
“They were sitting and talking, he approached them… One said to him ‘what are you doing’, he took out a Kalashnikov from the car and started shooting.” A neighbor who was here with them was injured and died in the hospital. Another girl was injured, but she is alive,” said the grandfather.
He claims that word in the village is that there was another boy in the car with the killer, who was driving. “They say they were first in Orashie and then came here. They say he shot my grandson and granddaughter in the back of the head, they didn’t even see him,” the man said.
Serbian police are looking for the attacker. The special and helicopter units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are involved in the search. A 21-year-old man is wanted.
According to RTS, the police have surrounded the place where he is hiding.
The attacker first shot in the village of Dubona, and then in Malo Orašje and in the village of Šepšin (near the town of Mladenovac).
In Dubona, he killed the young policeman and his sister, shooting randomly in the school yard, where he also wounded several people.
According to those living in the village, the young man is known as a problematic person. He is from the neighboring village of Doña Dubona.
