Tourist Scammed for Rp. 2.7 Million by Bogor Workshop: Confession Goes Viral on Social Media

Confession of a person traveler became the victim of a price tag of Rp. 2.7 million by unscrupulous owners of one of the workshops in the area Feel, Bogor, viral on social media. The tourists will come to the Bogor Police.

“God willing, tomorrow I will go to the Police,” said the account owner named Echa to reporters, Thursday (4/5/2023).

Contacted separately, Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Bogor Police, AKP Yohannes Redhoi Sighiro, admitted that he had not received confirmation regarding this matter. Bogor Police, said Yohannes, welcome victims to report if they feel aggrieved.



“There is no information yet (the victim will come), we have also contacted via social media, but there has been no response. We have also conveyed that if someone feels aggrieved then wants to report, please come to us at the Bogor Police or the Babakan Madang Police, but until the second No one has come and reported this yet,” said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Bogor Police, AKP Yohannes Redhoi Sighiro.

Workshop Owner Clarification Police

Meanwhile, the Head of the Babakan Madang Police AKP Susilo Tri Wibowo said that his party had clarified the repair shop owner regarding the viral price of repairing the tourist’s motorcycle. Susilo said that the description of the workshop owner was different from what was conveyed by the victim on social media.

“Indeed, we communicated with the Head of Public Relations to urge the victim to come to the police station so we can clear“It’s together, because our clarification of the workshop is not the same as what the person or consumer said,” said Susilo when contacted.

Susilo said that his party welcomes victims to report to the police regarding what they experienced.

“There is no valid information yet if he wants to come today, thank God, if he wants to come, we can handle it. The proof,” said Susilo.

“We have appealed to the people who feel disadvantaged regarding the viral workshop to report it to the police, we have been waiting, so far there is none,” he added.
