Mid-Term General Body Meeting of the UKMA National Committee in Birmingham Tomorrow

Birmingham: The mid-term general body meeting of the Ukma National Committee will be held tomorrow, Saturday, in Birmingham. General Secretary Kurian George will present the activity report of the last year. Treasurer Dix George will place the income and expenditure figures before the general meeting. Then there will be a discussion on other topics allowed by the Yoga Adhyaksha.

The successful Yukma Keralapuram Vallam Kali and the Yukma National Arts Mela and the career guidance series being organized in the last one year have been well received among the UK Malayalis. With the help of the kindness of the Malayali community, all the fund collections conducted in cooperation with the Yukma member associations to help the families of the deceased Malayali friends were able to bring great comfort to the said families.

President Dr. Biju Peringathara informed that Yukma National Committee is planning more and better programs for the next one year. In the meeting, proposals and discussions will be made to prepare a draft outline of the work for the next one year and take Yukma forward more strongly. President Dr. Biju Peringathara will preside. General Secretary Kurian George will welcome. Treasurer Dix George will deliver the vote of thanks for the meeting.

Before the general meeting, the Yukma National Executive Committee will meet at 10 am. The meeting will be attended by National office bearers, National Executive Committee members and Regional Presidents. The general body meeting will start after lunch. Only existing General Council members from member associations are eligible to attend the meeting. Members are reminded to be prepared to show photo ID if required. Arrangements have been made to hold the General Body meeting at the Royal Hotel, Walsall, Birmingham. General Secretary Kurian George announced that all the General Council members are welcome to the mid-term window body meeting of Yukma.
