On Thursday afternoon, the emergency services responded to reports of a fall accident on Nesodden in Akershus.
– We are at an address in connection with a small child being injured. We carry out investigations in relation to whether something criminal has happened. We are following up further here, wrote East police district in a message on Twitter.
The first report from the police about the incident came at 15.53.
– We received a message from AMK about an unclear situation. One way or another, a small child of around one year has fallen out of a window, says operations manager Terje Marstad to NTB.
In an update, the police write at 16:29 that the child has been flown to hospital in an air ambulance with critical injuries.
– Relatives have been notified. We are working hard to get an overview of what happened. Nesodden municipality’s crisis team is involved, the police write.
NRK is informed by the operations manager that they are working to clarify what has happened.
– We cannot yet say whether this is a criminal act or an accident, but we will do a thorough job, says Marstad to the channel and informs that they also have control over a person, who they believe can provide more clarity as to what has happened.
