Frankfurt – No other city in Hesse is as well-known for its delicious and juicy doner kebabs as Frankfurt. But now there was a shock for all lovers of the famous flatbread. In the Germany-wide kebab comparison of the well-known supply chain Lieferando the metropolis on the Main only took fifth place. Before that, among other things, Berlin, the kebab capital par excellence. But even outsiders like Bremen or Dresden are ahead of Frankfurt. But: How did the result come about in the first place?
Sea Lieferando For the kebab comparison, you looked at the ten largest cities in Germany with the most kebab shops. The number of stores, the prices and the ratings were compared with each other. Average values were then formed from these numbers, which form the overall result of the ranking.
Germany-wide kebab comparison of supply chain: Frankfurt only in the middle
Surprisingly, Dresden came first in the big comparison. The supply chain writes: “The Saxon state capital shines with a wide range of kebab shops and top ratings.” Nuremberg, another rather unexpected candidate, also took second place. Bronze went to Berlin and fourth place to Bremen.
Only in midfield in 5th place can Frankfurt be found in the kebab comparison. This is mainly due to the high average price of 5.47 euros per kebab. The 10-euro doner kebab is certainly partly to blame for this. But the average customer rating of 4.16 out of five possible points also has a negative impact on the ranking for Frankfurt. What In the category “kebab shops per 100,000 inhabitants”, the city did slightly better with a value of 13.85. That’s why people in Frankfurt are now discussing whether the doner kebab is really bad and overpriced.

Although Frankfurt doesn’t exactly cover itself with fame in comparison, there are very good and, above all, delicious kebab shops here. Best cuts in Lieferando the shop “Dein Döner” in the Hufnagelstraße. It has 4.7 stars from 2710 reviews. In the competitive supply chain Wolt Incidentally, the “Cetin Grill” in Frankenallee comes out on top. So the two companies seem to be at odds over the best kebab delivery in town.
