Jamie Foxx (55), who was admitted to hospital more than two weeks ago for unknown reasons, has made himself heard for the first time since his admission. In his message on social media, the actor still does not know what exactly is wrong with him.
“I appreciate all the love I get,” the actor writes Instagram. “I feel blessed. Every day I send love to you too.”
Many well-known Foxx colleagues have responded to his message. He has received responses from John Legend, Ellen DeGeneres, Courteney Cox and Ansel Elgort. “Please get well soon Jamie,” the actor writes.
Foxx was rushed to the hospital in mid-April. His daughter Corinne kept fans of the actor informed via social media at the time with updates on her father’s health. She has let it be known that things are going well given the circumstances, but has not shared why Foxx is in the hospital.
At the time of his hospitalization, Foxx was in the middle of shooting the new Netflix movie Back in Action. He still had eight shooting days to go. It is unclear whether Foxx’s sudden absence will affect the action film, which also stars Cameron Diaz.
