The Kremlin targeted by an attack? Russia said on Wednesday it shot down two Ukrainian drones targeting the presidential residence in Moscow. In the aftermath, the authorities accused kyiv of wanting to assassinate Vladimir Putin, seeing it as an attempted act “terrorist”, a few days before the military celebrations in Moscow. Faced with these events, the Moscow City Hall announced that it would ban drone flights over the Russian capital, unless authorized by the government.
For its part, the Ukrainian presidency assured that it had “nothing to see” with the attack. “Of course, Ukraine has nothing to do with the drone attacks on the Kremlin”said Mykhaïlo Podoliak, an adviser to Volodymyr Zelensky, in a message sent to journalists.
