A Dublin taxi driver, Barry Griffin, has had his €60,000 damages claim for severe personal injury thrown out by Judge James O’Donohoe. Griffin claimed to have experienced pain and shock following a minor collision on Kylemore Road in Dublin in February 2019. However, the judge was unimpressed with Griffin’s claim, stating the collision was no more than a minimal impact of the kind that happens every day. Deborah Moran, whose car ran into the back of Griffin’s, testified there had been no damage to either vehicle and no injuries. The judge dismissed Griffin’s claim and ordered him to pay costs.
