68-year-old Hollywood actor Kevin Costner (The Untouchables, Dances with Wolves, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, The Bodyguard) is getting a divorce.
The star’s second wife, model Christine Baumgartner, filed for divorce after 18 years of marriage, citing “irreconcilable differences.” Western journalists have not yet learned other details.
“Unfortunately, circumstances over which he could not control led to the fact that Mr. Costner had to participate in the dissolution of the marriage,” the publication quotes TMZ the statement of the official representative of the actor. “We ask that the privacy of him, Kristin, and their children be respected while they go through this difficult time.”

We add that the couple has three children – 15, 14 and 12 years old. The couple filed for joint custody, although the movie star’s wife did not demand support from her husband. Before the wedding in 2004, they entered into a prenuptial agreement.
