After the success met last year, Pierre Tixier, showman from father to son and his colleagues return with their rides from May 5th to 8th. They will invest the upper car park of the entertainment room with the bumper cars, the Tristar, a thrill ride that goes up to 12 meters, cotton candy stands, duck fishing, rifle shooting, children’s rides, games pliers, coin sets… With about a dozen stands, there will be plenty to entertain visitors.
The Tixier family is the 5e generation of showmen: the grandmother held the Pierrot lottery which was one of the unmissable attractions during the Saint-André Fair in Annecy. Being a showman is more than a job, it’s a passion. The Tixier family lives all year round in a caravan and the children go to school in the towns where they set up their rides.
Other descendants among the showmen in Groisy are just as famous, such as Anthony Crampon (4e generation) and the Peillex de Frangy family. They love their job and for nothing in the world, they would change it.
Reduced rates on May 8
The carnival will welcome the public in the car park of the entertainment area this Friday May 5 from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday 6 from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m., Sunday 7 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Monday May 8, reduced rates will be offered. on the rides which will be open from 2 to 7 p.m.
