Labrador Rejects Owner’s Attempt to Cuddle – Goes Viral on TikTok

Chicago (USA) – She just wanted to pet him! Morgyn Seigfried from Chicago recently had to cope with a brutal rejection of her Labrador Colby. But now a lot of people can heartily about the Dog laugh, as a viral TikTok hit shows.

In the video you can see the American with the furry nose sitting on the sofa. To pet Colby, Seigfried raises his hand. But the Labrador doesn’t seem to like these advances at all.

He casually fends off the attempt to stroke him with his hind leg and presses his hand down with it. His mistress doesn’t want to leave it that way, tries again.

But Colby remains steadfast, presses his hand down again. “He also gave me a deadly look,” said the owner in a comment on the curious video.

The laughing third party are the TikTok users. The work has received 1.1 million clicks since mid-April, plus tens of thousands of likes. But why doesn’t the Labrador want to cuddle?

In conversation with Newsweek Seigfried gave the all-clear. Accordingly, the four-legged friend does need to be cuddled, but only “on his own terms”.

“He’s really untamable and suffers from ‘only child syndrome,'” Seigfried told US magazine. However, there is an explanation for Colby’s behavior.

“He loves my cuddles and cuddles. But he also loves to make me laugh and he knew that would make me laugh,” says the animal lover.

Incidentally, Seigfried is not at all surprised about the viral hit. “I’ve always thought he was a star, so I’m not surprised he’s famous on the internet,” she said.

Nice side effect of the video: Several TikTok users reported similar rejection of their own pets in the comment column.
