“New York Knicks vs. Miami Heat: Game 2 Recap and Highlights”

The New York Knicks tied the series by beating the Miami Heat 111-105 thanks to a gala performance by Jalen Brunson after the break in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Without superstar Jimmy Butler, the Heat dominated the game at Madison Square Garden for long stretches. Only in the fourth quarter did the hosts manage to take control of the game. The key was a 12:3 run, which Jalen Brunson crowned with a three-pointer to make it 99:96.

In general, it was Brunson who turned up more and more as the game progressed and sunk one three after the other (6-10).

But even a 7-0 run to the last minute didn’t put the game out of reach for the Knicks. Rather, the guests fought their way back to 3 points with 22 seconds to play through a layup by Gabe Vincent and a three by Duncan Robinson.

Knicks vs. Heat: Barrett dominates first quarter

In the first quarter alone, Barrett scored 16 points (5-8 from the field) to keep his team afloat.

Before the break, the Heat threatened to pull away again, but Randle and Jalen Brunson cut back before a three by Barrett, under a minute on the clock, leveled the scores 51-51. However, a three from Kevin Love gave the visitors the lead again at the break.

Brunson was the top scorer of the game with 30 points, Randle had 25 (10 REB, 8 AST), Barrett had 24 points. Isaiah Hartenstein, who only scored 3 points in 26 minutes due to foul problems, still had 9 rebounds and to the assist of the game an important part in his team’s victory. In the Heat, Caleb Martin was the top scorer with 22 points, Vincent contributed 21 points.
