Apple has asked a London court to dismiss the $2 billion lawsuit filed by lawyer Justin Gutmann on behalf of iPhone users in the UK.
He accuses the company of hiding battery problems in smartphones and secretly installing a power management tool that limited performance.
Apple said the lawsuit was unfounded. The company vehemently denies that the batteries in the iPhone were defective, with the exception of a small number of iPhone 6s.
