The regular phase of National ended this weekend with several lessons. Blagnac and Bourgoin ensured while Tarbes offered a good success outside, on the lawn of Bourg-en-Bresse.
The die is cast. After twenty-six days, the regular phase of National gave its verdict this weekend. Already certain of finishing first, US Dax lost at Narbonne (15-6) while Valence-Romans, also sure of finishing second, left with a defensive bonus point from Chambéry (defeat 24-17). Behind, Albi reassured himself one last time before the final stages by winning 24-13 at Cognac-Saint-Jean-d’Angély, already relegated.
At home, Blagnac pleased the home crowd with a clear 28-7 win over Suresnes. Bourgoin ensured his fifth place by offering himself a sixteenth success of the season, on the lawn of Rennes. Bourg-en-Bresse, sixth, narrowly lost to Tarbes for their last game at home (19-21). In the middle of the table, Nice ended its season well by winning at Hyères-Carqueiranne (31-28).
