As you may have noticed, the town hall has banned the half moon lawnmainly the only place in the district of the park of the town hall of Choisy-le-Roi (Val-de-Marne) where dog owners meet every late afternoon to release their dogs. Now, you will tell us to go to Interdepartmental Sports Park at the Choisy-Créteil limit in the space intended for dogs. The problem is the distance since the sports park is located more one hour round trip but also, that this space considered as a “dog park” is neither fenced nor shaved. Isn’t it the purpose of a dog park to be closed?
Dogs are sources ofmoral and physical development at men’s. Indeed, they have benefits physiques since in most cases we exceed the 30 minutes of daily walks recommended by doctors and mental with the creation of social bonds.
Today we are faced with a major problem of the development of the town of Choisy-le-Roi especially in the city hall park districtOr no fenced area is dedicated to dogs. We ask the creation of a dog park fenced in the district of the park of the town hall like the Melies park at Orly.
The reality is that the physical AND mental well-being is not really taken into account in this city.
Since dogs must be always on a leash in the city and especially in the town hall park that many of us frequent, we ask for the creation of a closed enclosure in the district of the town hall which will allow our four-legged friends to share a good time and socialize with their other congeners, essential for their mental and physical health. They are one medicine for urban stress, depression and social anxiety. Why waste this chance by forbidding us the half-pipe?
This enclosure could correspond to a good compromise between green spaces for leisure and green spaces for animals, between masters who run their dogs freely while being “outlawed” and the inhabitants of the city who wish to walk. This space would also be an essential place where dog owners could discuss dog training in particular, which would contribute to their better education.
With this dog park, we wouldn’t have the belly ball when we let our dogs go because of fines, insults.
We are aware of dog poo problems in the city. However, like people who litter the streets, it is a small minority of uncivilized people. The blame should not be placed on us because of a handful of people. We also think that instead of offering small boxes for dog waste (our dogs do their business on the grass and not on the asphalt so it’s not practical) and putting up posters “Pick up your droppings” , it would be more convenient and intelligent to offer BIODEGRADABLE dog waste bags (for ecology) like our neighboring towns of Thiais or Orly.
We would also like the city to be able to mow the spikelets present almost everywhere, a significant danger for dogs by getting into the legs, ears, nose, often ending up with operations with an exorbitan pricet.
We express the wish that the city of Choisy-le-Roi develop a dog policy in the hope of offering a physical and mental well-being to man’s best friend.
We therefore wish to obtain the delimitation of a space in the district in the park of the town hall (the plain near the entrance near the buildings towards LaPoste) or to have the half-moon again to offer freedom to our dogs.
