“Hamilton’s Future with Mercedes Hangs in the Balance: Contract Renewal or Retirement?”

The veteran British star, Lewis Hamilton, decided his fate with the Mercedes team once and for all, after the management made a new offer to its driver, who had only 6 months left in his current contract, but he set a new condition in order to continue his career in Formula 1 racing.

According to the British newspaper, “Daily Express”, on Tuesday, Lewis Hamilton has finally decided his fate with the Mercedes team, and he will inform the management of his decision next month, after the recent statements made by Toto Wolff, team president.

And she added that the Mercedes team put all the options on its table, in the event that Lewis Hamilton decided to announce his retirement, and his lack of intention to renew, by searching for his successor in the team, as the name of Charles Leclerc from Monaco, the Ferrari driver, appeared at the top of the list.

She explained that the Mercedes team is working to persuade British driver Lewis Hamilton in the current period to renew his contract, after Toto Wolff, team leader, asked him to move forward, in order to continue his journey in the world of Formula 1.

And she added that Lewis Hamilton wants to obtain direct guarantees from Toto Wolff, team president, regarding the team’s ability to bridge the gap with its rival, the “Red Bull” team, in order to be fully prepared next season, in order to take on the challenges.

It also concluded that Lewis Hamilton tends to renew his contract with the Mercedes team, but is considering announcing his retirement in the event that he is unable to bridge the gap with the competitor, “Red Bull”, which means that the sports fans will see Charles Leclerc with Mercedes next season.
