St Patrick’s Athletic Manager Tim Clancy Resigns After Third Consecutive Loss

St Patrick’s Athletic manager Tim Clancy has resigned from his position by mutual consent after the Saints suffered their third consecutive defeat to Sligo Rovers. The loss left the club in seventh place with 17 points after 13 games. Clancy had been in charge since December 2021 and led the club to fourth place last season and a memorable Europa Conference League penalty shoot-out victory over Mura. However, after suffering three consecutive defeats for the second time this season, Clancy resigned, making him the first managerial change in the Premier Division so far in 2023. St Pat’s are yet to announce an interim boss and are next in action against Cork City.
