According to the press release, the members of Oriselec claim: the non-payment by Eneo of the services performed; salary arrears and the abusive suspension of subcontracting companies. The movement of mood of the subcontractors of Eneo announces at the time when the company faces the tensions of treasury.
For the record, State receivables owed to the company Energy of Cameroon (Eneo) amounted to 150 billion FCFA at the end of July 2022. Of this colossal envelope, the largest share goes to State universities; town halls and reference hospitals which accumulate a debt of 24 billion FCFA. The share of Camwater, Alucam, and the municipalities are respectively around 16 billion FCFA, 10 billion FCFA and 9 billion FCFA. As of September 30, 2022, the University of Douala alone had accumulated arrears amounting to 1.8 billion FCFA.
