Ukrayinska Pravda noted that they are people’s deputies Oleksandr Yurchenko, Oleg Voronko, Artem Dmytruk and Yevhen Shevchenko, who are now members of the Restoration of Ukraine deputy group.
“You entered the parliament from the Servant of the People, then something changed for you. If you are honest, give up your mandate and run for the next election cycle, collect your points, go to parliament and work. But when you entered, you didn’t like it and this inner courage was not enough, then for me these people are traitors,” Shulyak explained.
She stressed that the people’s deputies from the Servant of the People “entered the parliament on the image of the president, on his rating.”
“If it weren’t for the president’s rating, none of them would have made it to the Verkhovna Rada on their own,” Shulyak said.
The Servant of the People faction was formed in the Ukrainian parliament after early elections in 2019, it became a mono-coalition.
Yurchenko was expelled from the Servant of the People faction in the Verkhovna Rada in September 2020 after a corruption scandal involving bribery and an announcement of suspicion to the people’s deputy.
Voronko left the pro-presidential faction in parliament on February 1, 2022. The People’s Deputy said that “the authorities began to persecute deputies who have their own point of view on what is actually happening in the country.”
Dmitruk was expelled from the mono-majority On November 16, 2021, the reasons for this decision were not reported, but since November 8 it was known that he decided to join the inter-factional association “Reasonable Politics”, which was headed by the ex-Speaker of the Rada Dmitry Razumkov.
Yevgeny Shevchenko was expelled from the Servant of the People faction in the Verkhovna Rada in May 2021 after his scandalous statements in support of Alexander Lukashenko, who has been in power in Belarus since 1994. It is impossible to deprive Shevchenko of his parliamentary mandate due to the fact that he was elected to parliament in a majoritarian district.
