Lucknow: In the 16th season of IPL, another flying catch thrilled the fans. Krishnappa Gautham of Lucknow Supergiants took this brilliant catch to dismiss Royal Challengers Bangalore’s Suyash Prabhudesai. An attempt to hit veteran spinner Amit Mishra for a six off the third ball of the 15th over of the RCB innings ended in a flying catch on Gautham’s forward leap at long-off. With this, Amit Mishra took his IPL career tally to 171 wickets. Prabhudesai could only score six runs off seven balls.
After winning the toss and batting first, Royal Challengers Bangalore scored 126 runs for 9 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. In Lucknow, RCB’s wicket started with rain and the rain really stopped the match in between. Openers Virat Kohli and Faf Du Plessis added 62 runs in 9 overs but Kohli was dismissed by Ravi Bishnoi for 31 off 30 balls. Wicketkeeper Nicholas Puran was stumping.

After this, quick dismissals of Anuj Rawat (9 off 11 balls), Glenn Maxwell (4 off 5 balls) and Suyash Prabhudesai (6 off 7 balls) backfired. Faf du Plessis, the skipper at one end, returned to close to a half-century. Amit Mishra returned Faf who scored 44 off 40 balls. Mahipal Lomror (3 off 4 balls) had nothing to do in front of Naveen Ul Haq. Sixth man Dinesh Karthik looked to be the finisher but was run out by Yash Thakur (16 off 11 balls) in the 19th over. Karan Sharma (2) was out on the second ball of Naveen’s last over, while Mohammad Siraj got a golden duck on the third ball. At the end of the innings, Josh Hazelwood(1*) and Vanindu Hazaranka(8*) remained unbeaten.
RCB are ranked third; The sixth star of the season has also become a hit, misses him…
