Retired NHL Forward Jeff O’Neill Takes Leave from TSN 1050 Radio Duties

Former NHL player Jeff O’Neill has taken a leave of absence from his role as co-host of the popular sports radio program “OverDrive” on TSN 1050. No details have been released about the reason for his absence, but O’Neill had missed several shows leading up to his leave. Along with co-hosts Bryan Hayes and Jamie McLennan, O’Neill helped the show become one of the top-ranked sports podcasts in Canada. The retired winger spent a decade in the NHL, playing for both the Hartford Whalers and the Toronto Maple Leafs before retiring in 2007. He joined TSN as a part-time radio personality in 2013, and his frank opinions and regular-guy conversations have made him a fan favorite.
